Aamras

I am a great fan of mangoes. And i am sure you all are !  What should i say about this dish? You all must be knowing enough. One cant just stop by taking a spoonful Aamras.  "Aamras with Puri" is the popular Menu in Maharashtra at wedding time. So just try this sweet, tasty, pulpy Mango Ras this summer.

Cooking Time : 15 Minutes
Servings : 4

Ingredients :
  • 1 kg Mangoes
  • Powdered sugar
  • 1 - 1/2 cup Milk
  • Water
  • 1/4 tsp saffron
  •  Cardamom powder
Recipe : 
  1. Wash mangoes.
  2. Peel and cut the mangoes into small pieces
  3. Grind the pieces by placing them into mixer.
  4. Now add sugar, milk and blend it till soft.
  5. Pour the juice into a big vessel.
  6. Add water if required.
  7. Garnish with saffron strands and cardamom powder. 
  8. Keep in fridge to chill. 
  9. Serve chill Mango Ras (Aamras) with hot Puris.
